Pros: programmable, 2-4 hour heated plate, 14 cups, like that the beeping can be muted Cons: a little noisy, blue light display too bright - one more appliance to light up the kitchen at night, sometimes coffee grounds boil over into water tank this was a big issue with their 12 cup models.

We replaced a KitchenAid 16-cup coffee maker with this after our KitchenAid's carafe broke. We like the Cuisinart's capacity, easy programmability, and paper or mesh filter option. The carafe is easy to clean, but we made the mistake of choosing white to go with our white kitchen. We were warned that it would stain quickly and permanently, but we thought that if we cleaned it vigorously right after use, that wouldn't be a problem. Wrong. The top of the lid, where the coffee comes in, gets stained brown after a few weeks no matter what, and won't come clean with anything we've tried. Granted, it's hidden most of the time, but still.... So, we recommend it unreservedly in any dark color.

This coffeemaker is great! It brews tasty coffee fast and is easy to clean. We have the glass carafe in order to see the volume of coffee left. And, last but not least, there is no drippage during pouring.

I bought this to replace same model that I broke because I loved it so much. BUT This is the noisiest coffee maker I have owned since the 70s. Complete opposite of my last (same model #)
