This is the 3rd one just like this I have owned. The same thing happ ens alot. I have to clean it quit often or it really slows down. I always change the filters etc. Mine never last over a year. I do love the features.

Overall I love this coffeemaker. I would have rated it 5 stars, but it is tricky getting the lid on the pot which seems to be a design flaw. The pot also sits loosely on the hotplate. It makes great coffee, and I love the sleek style and features!
