We have had many coffee makers and this is about the best so far. Once in a while, it loses the "alarm" informing that the brew has been completed, but one only has to unplug the machine for a few seconds and plug it, and it goes back to normal.

I've bought this model a couple of times. It brews great coffee and has nice features. The big downside is that we go through 2 or 3 carafes a year. We started keeping a spare on hand and buy a new carafe as soon as one breaks. The latest leak was very small and wasn't noticed, so we woke up to coffee seeping across the countertops and dripping down the fronts of the cabinets. Not a happy good morning.

This coffee pot is the best one we have ever had. It makes great coffee and has nice features. Very easy to program too. Another nice feature is the 14 cup coffee pot as most have 12 cup. We will definitely buy another Cuisinart!

I had previously had Kitchen Aid 14 cup brewers and had always been happy. I was not happy with the Cuisinart for the following reasons;
1. Filling it with water required a funnel as my hands shake a little bit and caused water to spatter.
2. It seemed to require descaling more often.
3. All in all it was not as easy to start a new pot as my previous ones.
I bought a new Kitchen Aid 14 cup brewer and tossed the Cuisinart in the trash.
