[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It worked great but completely died after only 18 months. It’s only 2 of us so it wasnt from overuse.

Broke down in less than two years.

I purchased this microwave a year and a half ago. A couple of weeks ago, it started making noise and had a bad smell. The waveguide cover was burnt, and the microwave was unusable. I kept it spotless, so this was simply a bad product. I contacted GE. They sent out a tech and eventually gave me a rebate for the cost of it, but I still have to pay for the removal of the old one and a contractor to replace the one I will buy, since I have mine installed in a base cabinet. Worst microwave I've ever owned. I appreciate the rebate, but it's still going to cost me a lot for removal and installation. This should not have happened.

Burns Popcorn!

Safety concerns

We got this microwave in 2020 and off late we noticed there are cracks all around the base and it makes popping sounds while heating something. We have stopped using it because of safety concerns but really disappointed with the quality of the product.

Microwave performance

I love the size and performance of this microwave but this is the second model in a year and a half. The first one did a power failure so I unplugged it and was going to buy a new one but I decided to replug it after a few days and it started back for about 2 months then it would turn on but it doesn't heat up. It still looks brand new. I liked it so much tha I decided to order another one which I received yesterday. Just warmed up a cup of tea and this one is so noisy. I will try it again later. I now see that this model has been discontinued as it probably should be if not perfected.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Be careful

Microwave has started turning on on its own randomly. It has been taken care of and only ever been in one location. Seems very dangerous that it is able to do that. If we unplug it then plug it back it it will randomly start running within the next few hours.
