Died in under 4 months

Rating this 2 stars due to it going out in less than 4 months. We bought it just under 6 months ago.
It had good reviews so we bought this microwave, one reason I am giving it 2 stars instead of one.
It was a custom install as the kitchen was being redone. We have been in our house right at 4 months now.
It just stopped working due to no power earlier this week. We tried moving it to another location and double checked the power line it was on. Nothing has worked yet. I will see how the warranty makes out.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy to use, great features and plenty of power!

I purchased this GE microwave several years ago and it has been exactly what I needed. The settings for quick cooking like popcorn and potatoes actually works and cooks items exactly right. It has lots of good features, great power and is very easy to use! I unfortunately purchased a different brand for our vacation home and paid more because it had great reviews which as it turns out I would not give it. I wish I had purchased this wonderful GE microwave like the one I have in my primary home. I will swap it out as soon as I can afford to make the switch! Lesson learned!!

Fire hazard

Overall would be a great microwave however, there is a metal plate installed on the side of the microwave that is causing the microwave to spark and almost caught on fire

I have owned a GE Microwave for the past 9 years and have never and any problems. The controls on this new model are identical to my previous microwave except for a few changes which I appreciate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fits my microwave oven are perfectly. The 1150 watt power is awesome and the oven (black) is stylish. It is very intuitive to use and large enough for good size dishes.
