Overall would be a great microwave however, there is a metal plate installed on the side of the microwave that is causing the microwave to spark and almost caught on fire

stopped working after 1.5 years

we love this microwave until is just stopped working a few days ago. I see it is now not manufactured. I need the same size for a replacement and am really struggling to find a replacement. Very disappointed. Lasted 1.5 years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have owned a GE Microwave for the past 9 years and have never and any problems. The controls on this new model are identical to my previous microwave except for a few changes which I appreciate.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fits my microwave oven are perfectly. The 1150 watt power is awesome and the oven (black) is stylish. It is very intuitive to use and large enough for good size dishes.

Broke down in less than two years.

I purchased this microwave a year and a half ago. A couple of weeks ago, it started making noise and had a bad smell. The waveguide cover was burnt, and the microwave was unusable. I kept it spotless, so this was simply a bad product. I contacted GE. They sent out a tech and eventually gave me a rebate for the cost of it, but I still have to pay for the removal of the old one and a contractor to replace the one I will buy, since I have mine installed in a base cabinet. Worst microwave I've ever owned. I appreciate the rebate, but it's still going to cost me a lot for removal and installation. This should not have happened.
