Top humps

I bought it in 2021. I love to use it but after 3 years a few humps came out, are they dangerous?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave us your review. While we understand that seeing bubbles like this in the top of your microwave can be worrying, they are not dangerous. These bubbles can be caused by condensation in the microwave cavity over time from heating high water content items such as soup, coffee, oatmeal, etc. We recommend wiping the interior dry after heating these types of foods. As long as there is no exposed metal, the microwave is fine and can still be used. Exposed metal can cause arcing, and we would not recommend using the microwave should that occur.

We like the idea of the beeps when it is finished cooking or timing. Have only used it for a day, but like it a lot.

Microwave Died/Caught Fire After 11 Months

We are on our 2nd microwave in less than a year. The first one lasted approx. 11 months and then started shutting off randomly in the middle of a cook and displaying PF. The microwave was plugged into a new outlet with no issues and there was no power failure. Then, after several shut-down episodes, one day it just caught fire (wires burned, smoke came out, and the kitchen stunk) while warming a glass of milk. Fortunately, GE replaced the original one with a new one and I am hopeful and cautiously optimistic that this one will (a) last far more than 11 months; and (b) not catch on fire.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
