Purchased because basically same as 10-year-old one. Because beverage feature had quit heating hot enough to dissolve instant coffee New one operating same as old one. No answer from GE, dealer said it was working properly. What good is the beverage pad

Going back to GE

I had a Samsung, hated it. Never kept the time and only lasted a few years. Had similar problems with same brand in a camper...it caught on fire all by itself.
Going back to GE and very happy I did!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Modern Microwave

We replaced our last GE Microwave with this model. The last one lasted from 1999 until Feb 2024. It was a good one!!
This microwave has everything we wanted. It has a nice footprint on our counter. We bought the stainless steel/black configuration. Our other GE kitchen appliances are this color. The microwave has a turntable. The push pad is very easy to operate. We are very satisfied with our purchase.

Touch Pad was not well thought out by GE.

I feel compelled to write this review because I am so disappointed in this microwave. I was replacing an old Panasonic with what I thought was a new modern operating GE microwave. I should have went for the extra money and bought a new Panasonic.
The touch buttons on this unit will drive you crazy, they are like push buttons on an old car, not a touch pad like you might think, also most of it's operation is not user friendly, the labeling is so small you can hardly read them. The timer which I like to use is terrible the way it works it keeps on beeping until to shut it off with the same button you start it with which is annoying, a few beeps would have been fine, because usually you hands are doing something else in the kitchen so you don't want to have to go back to shut it off.
GE do your self a favor and get a Panasonic and try to copy some of it's features.
I will say although it is quite noisy it heats things up good enough, but if your looking for a common sense touch pad that is user friendly look elsewhere.
