Just bought model JES1657SM2SS. Waited 2 weeks to receive it. Had Panasonic microwave before. I’m disappointed in the very dim/weak light bulb compared to the bright light on the Panasonic. Also, ring that holds glass plate is not white but something that looks like old recycled brown. Both make my new microwave seem already old and used. Have to press more buttons to operate than the Panasonic. However, my first GE built in microwave lasted 26 yrs and mt Panasonic only lasted 5.5 yrs. So if GE lasts longer, I’ll adjust.

Attractive looking microwave. I love & trust GE products. They tend to last forever. Don’t know why I decided on a Panasonic microwave. It only lived for 2 years. I’m so glad I bought this stainless steel GE microwave. Can’t wait to use it everyday.

If I were to change anything it would be to make the controls more touch friendly. I have to push hard enough on them that it causes the microwave to move.
