We have had this microwave for six weeks. It functions properly but came missing a foot. Had to wait a week to get a replacement.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It's a good micro. My concern is it won't start a lot and shows. Food. On display. You have to open and shut door to make it work

Not User Friendly.

Not user friendly. Need flashlight to find/read proper operation control. Small white print on small black knobs mounted on a black background. Users body blocks ambient light from front of microwave ergo flashlight. The manual is mostly useless. It does not explain clearly how to use the oven. There is no way given to set cook time for less than 1 minute, for instance, that I have found. The only way I have managed this trick is to set for 1 minuet. watch the timer count down and at 30 seconds cancel the operation. This is unacceptable. I have other things needing my attention instead of watching a clock tick. Model #JES1657SMQSS Serial # T200177A, GE Microwave Oven

Barely a year old, and it just stopped working, there is a short inside when you shut the door it beeps flashes then nothing. Un happy camper

LOVE THIS MICROWAVE! My mistake was buying the first one at a pallet sale type store box was NOT DAMAGED, but it only worked for about 8mo. so I had no warrant or recourse. I was so happy to find this same one was still being sold. I love everything about this microwave!
