Some improvements over earlier model.

I purchased the microwave because I have a similar microwave that is still working, but is rusting in the cooking area. The new model has some improvements, such as the way the defroster operates. (the new model reduces the power level while the item is defrosting which seems to prevent overheating food towards the end of the defrosting process). The only thing I do not like is some buttons, such as the Vegetable button, require that you press a number, depending on the nature of the vegetable, such as fresh, or frozen. You need to look at the instructions to know what number to enter, unless you memorize the option numbers.

Great GE Product

So far, this microwave is performing great. I have only had it for a month. It has a strong wattage and cooks very quickly. I have always liked GE appliances and this one is living up to all the former appliances I have purchased. My previous GE microwave was a built-in wall oven and microwave combo that lasted 23 years. Has all the needed features.

Product is excellent and we use it 3 or 4 times a day. Cooking time is much quicker then our previous oven and has more features easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Overall a very nice microwave with good power. Seems to clean easily and is a good value. Would be nice if it had a lighted panel as it's hard to read the numbers/features if you don't have direct light shining on the front. Will be interesting to see how long it lasts.
I would recommend this to a friend!
