Easy to program and use

I chose this particular microwave oven and am totally pleased. My requirements concerned physical size, wattage, and ease of use. The touch pad controls are uncluttered and most cooking tasks can be accomplished with one or two keypad entries. The clock is extremely easy to set and I love that the timer can be used independently from a cooking function. The chime is very clear. Like most microwaves, the appliance is easy to clean. This is my first GE appliance purchase. I won't hesitate to consider GE for my next appliance need.

Two strikes

It lasted 3 years before it started turning on whenever the door opened. It worked well enough for the price while it worked, so we bought another one. This one started making noises like a bad bearing on the first day, so we returned it to the store and bought a different model.
Otherwise, the only real flaw is the start button that is so deep and wobbly at the same time that it would sometimes get stuck half way in.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
