reliable microwave

The large size is good, color white is good, but the lights on the control panel are too dim and should be thicker. The door closure is rather stiff and a bit too loud, unlike our much older and smaller GE microwave oven. Unfortunately its control panel lights failed and we could find no one to replace that part of the unit, which we wanted to continue to use because it functioned well and had no stiffness or loud sounds upon closing the door.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Nice size for my space, cooks well. Too many autocook buttons for me, I prefer custom cooking, several steps to do that. Buttons must be pushed precisely, but not all are centered. Nice interior size compared to overall size.

Easy to use

The features are easy to use. With the defrost feature you can actually chose the correct weight for the food you wish to defrost. With my old microwave the lowest weight I could choose was 0.5 kb. I usually have smaller portions that I need to defrost and had to watch to make sure the food I was defrosting did start to cook. With the GE microwave, I can select the correct weight. I like the vegetable feature, you don't have to guess how long to cook fresh vegetables, the sensor determines when the vegetables are done.

I have a stove and microwave . I had to replace my stove after several years. Before I replaced my stove, I bought oven elements and the parts were not hard to find and easy to install.
