Nice microwave

It has a protection that tells you there is food in the microwave and the door has to be opened before start up. This especially happens after heating one item and trying to do another. Tiresome!

Poor performance in 2-month old unit

The window on microwave began fogging (between the panes) from the first week. Last week, the turntable began having issues (chugging and popping while running). This week the door latch began having issue (failing to open the door).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hello- We appreciate you taking the time to share your review. We can understand your concern and want to help. If you find that your microwave door closes loudly or is harder to close than your previous model, the difference in the door noise is due to a firmer spring in the door latch; this is a normal condition for the microwave. You can lift up on the latch to feel the tension.

If the microwave starts as soon as the door is closed, the microwave isn't really starting; the fan is coming on in anticipation of the unit starting. Try shutting the door firmly three times to avoid the fan sound in future use.

Temperamental on the cooking time?

When I put on the time to cook then hit start, it flashes "food", try it like 3-4 times before it actually cooks?
