Nothing complicated about this microwave. The control panel is self-explanatory. Large enough to hold large dishes and powerful enough to cook them as well.

We had used a different microwave for years and needed a new one so we decided to try the GE. Boy, are we glad. It looks good and I love the reminder feature. I hope that it lasts for years. Go get one.

Would be a great microwave needs MUCH better ligh!

Would rate higher but you can not see what is being cooked to avoid dishes from boiling over. Also this one sounds totally different than the 20 year old GE microwave but so far works great other than we can’t see dishes cooking.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We did want to say that all microwaves have a window in the door that has a mesh screen inside of it. This screen helps keep the microwaves inside the cavity, and is a necessary part of the microwave.
You may find that the screen makes it difficult to see your food as it is cooking. Although it is difficult to see detail, the window should allow you to see if there are any problems while cooking, like arcing, burning, boilovers, etc. If you need to check on your food, opening the door will pause the microwave.

I had a Samsung microwave and replaced it with this GE model. Wow what a difference in quality! It feels very solid. The features are great and I can actually see inside while it’s running.
