Stopped working 170 days after purchase

This microwave worked OK for a couple months, then started shutting off randomly, followed by complete failure. Warranty is 90 days.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this size

This is the 3rd generation of the same microwave I have purchased in 13-14 years. This size is perfect for my corner counter top. The key pad has changed but they have been so good that as long as GE makes this size I will be back again. It makes great popcorn, reheats, and cooks frozen meals just great. I like the defrost and being able to choose the time and power level for certain items. Thank you GE

Last GE Microwave was 2.0 in size ...this model is a bit smaller 1.6, but cooks much faster.

Reliable near-necessity

Still waiting to get an over-range model repaired, I bought this counter-top model to keep the family happy. It’s nice to have the same full-size capacity. It can be kept as a spare for the next breakdown amongst several family homes, and comes in handy for large meals.

looks great with the trim kit built in to cabinets, but failed after only a couple months. I am usually very happy with GE products, but this on e fel lflat. replacing with hthe same unit onbly because it fits the trim kit. Wish they had a better oone that would fit the trim kit and I would have bought that one instead. the next one should be fine. Havent lost all confidence in GE. But this unit seems to have a high failure rate.
