Does the job

So far so good. Got it to replace my 4 year old GE microwave which they no longer make and it’s the closest looking one. Only complaint so far is that color and font of the clock is different from their other appliances.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Change the Packing!

The microwave works fine, however I need to tell you about the stupid yellow sticker they put on at the factory to tell you to take off all the plastic before using the microwave (really???). They put it partially across the clock face material and the white metal. When you try to peel it off, it leaves a horrible residue. I had to go out and buy Goo Gone and it still won't come off the clock face area. I tried using my fingernail but only succeeded in scratching the black surface! PLEASE tell the factory to put the sticker ON THE PLASTIC so it can be read the taken off WITH the plastic! Not too smart.
Also, the microwave weighs 43 lbs. and is a real bear to get out of the box. The white styrofoam sticks onto the corners and there's nothing to grab to lift out the unit. It took me forever and killed my back. PLEASE put straps around the unit so we can use them to lift it. Not everyone has a strong person living with them to do this.
This is all COMMON SENSE, which is apparently UNCOMMON.

Less Than 2-Year Lifespan

Born on date/manufactured in February 2023 ... verified on the model tag. Bought September 29, 2023. Died, March 24, 2025. Did not even last (2) years. If this is the best that GE can do, it may be time to find a different brand. Our first microwave lasted over 20 years. Evidently those days are long gone.

Was awesome until it wasn’t!

My microwaved died and have had it only 2.5years. Not the breaker, outlet or plug. I noticed I heated up some canned veggies and it was cold when they were done, tried to start it back up and it had no power! Noticed this past week a few weird glitches. Other than that it was a beautiful and great machine until last night!! :(
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

after getting & returning 2 mod #JES2051 ovens because the express cook did not work; i got this one.3rd times the charm!! express cook works!!! very disappointed with GE about the 1st 2. latest one lasted 16 years & all my other appliances are GE.
