Had to replace our 23 year old microwave. After reading reviews of other microwave brands, we decided to try GE. We have GE major appliances in the kitchen and have been impressed with the quality and ease of use. This microwave is no exception. The microwave is easy to use and for us is just the right size for our needs. Seems to heat food evenly and quickly. This microwave does have sensor cooking technology which should avoid the occasional overcooking that can happen when microwaving certain types of food. Hoping it will last at least half as long as our old microwave.

I wish that the size of microwaves was consistent

I had a built in GE cafe microwave that failed after 3/1/2 years. All the buttons stopped working, seems like a common issue. So, we looked for microwave that would fit in the old surround, but this one is about 1/2' short side to side making the gaps too large. Why did GE do this? They do not even sell a surround for this model as far as the Retailer could tell.
After 2 months, this model is still working, and i am still looking at the gap ....

This microwave is very easy to use and understand. I had a Panasonic and could not understand the Icons. This is all in English. I love the easy preset buttons.

Countertop GE 1.6 Cu Microwave

My last GE microwave was 27 years old so tried 2 replace with the reliable product I love and used daily 4 all those years. I think I found the perfect replacement and went up 2 over 1000 watts 4 2days food heating requirements. Im a satisfied customer.
