Our old microwave died so had to get a new one quickly. The GE had all the features that I wanted. The automatic features (i.e., beverage, etc) make life much easier for us.

Haven't tried it yet, but I bought a panasonic 5 months ago and it has already stopped working so this one has to be better the one I just took to the dump.

Powerful but noisy

This one has taken some getting used to. I take 30 - 45 seconds off for every 5 minutes or it burns. The open/close is loud and clunky, not the best for a midnight snack when my wife is sleeping.
