Second time is the charm

I am giving this unit three stars. The main reason is the first one purchased was a lemon. I had to return it for a replacement.
The replacement unit works well.
We are quite happy with it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Didnt last long!

I purchased the GE 1.6 microwave 3 weeks ago and returned it to the store where purchased today. Agter one week it developed loud buzzing on right side which went away after about 15 seconds. This happened off and on for 2 weeks. Last night it never stopped the loud buzzing noise. Im disappointed in G E. I had an over the range GE Profile in my previous home for 7 years and never had a problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife and I are satisfied with our purchase, If there is one thing that we could improve, it would be the control sensory buttons, seems like you have to "push" very hard for them to react.

Nice size

We have always used GE products! Our previous microwave (GE) was 12 years old & it was time to replace. This new one is a tad bigger than we would have liked & the interior light is dimmer. It seems to cook/heat quicker than we're used to and that's a good thing! I have found when re-heating coffee that 30 seconds is sufficient whereas using the beverage button I had a mess as it boiled over. Still getting used to it, I believe it was a good choice for a replacement.

We bought the microwave to replace our 1000 watt microwave that died. It cooks faster and hotter than our old microwave.

Good price for a pretty simple microwave

I actually wanted the next model up, but it would not fit, so I got this one. It is pretty simple. The only problem is that in order to press a button on the touch pad, I need to press with a knuckle, not with a fingertip. Otherwise it's ok for the reasons I need it.
