I have always had a 1200 Watt machine with a 16 in. turntable. My current microwave is 1100 watts with a 14 in. turntable. I was worried this smaller size would not handle the size of my dishes and would take too long to cook the food. I was pleasantly surprised to find the internal capacity is ample and the food heats faster than my previous machine. Additionally it's a very attractive microwave.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Simple great performing microwave

I have owned microwaves that cost 3x the amount of this microwave and have realized it is not worth the cost. This microwave looks great, is simple to use and I am very happy with it.

In 1983 my parents bought me a GE Microwave for a housewarming. I used that microwave until I purchased this new GE Microwave in August 2020. The features on the new microwave such as the sensor, food settings, and size are certainly welcomed. If the new GE performs like my previous GE, I'll look to buy my next GE microwave in 2057. I am a GE fan.

Buttons push hard, not like the older models

We thought with such good luck on our last GE Microwave, we'd buy the latest, thinking that it couldn't be much different. Not so. Buttons aren't as easy to push, sometimes almost feeling like we could move the microwave before buttons were pushed.
The second issue, usability. It used to be a quick "Cancel" then "Add 30 seconds" and the microwave is running. That's also changed. The first week, some settings were OK, but then something with the software changed, even after unplugging, it wanted to know the food type before allowing a quick reheat. - Dissatisfied, returning.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
