Frustrating Purchase

We replaced our 2.0 cu foot GE microwave, which only lasted about 3 years. We purchased this one as it fit the hole, and are disappointed with the smaller size. Most frustrating are that GE (1) changes the keypad with every model, and (2) changes the measurements so that you need yet another trim kit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This microwave does exactly what we want it to do, without the extra "features" you can live without. Plenty of space inside, so you don't have to worry about your food touching the inside walls. Our food comes out hot every time, without the cold spots. Excellent product, especially for the price.

This to replace a GE bigger version in which the microwave would just turn on by itself as if a ghost is running it. It might have been something loose in the door mechanism. The door on JES1657DMWW seems to be more solid. It was also big enough for our needs. It's a little noisy at first when it turns on, but other than that it's been working out great. I do like the add 30 second and one touch menu buttons.
