Works well but not user friendly

This microwave is a large size and a good value. It looks great. However there are more steps than necessary involved in simple functions. For example, I heat up my dog's food for 6 seconds every time. On my old microwave we just pressed 6 and start. With this microwave you have to press Time then 6 then start. Also the stop and pause buttons are not easy. You have to press hard. The beeper is way too loud. So its really important for me to be able hit stop before it goes off and wakes up the whole family. The most inconvenient feature is the push button to make the door pop open. You have to push it in forcefully. I much prefer my old microwave that you just pull the door open. I give it 3 stars for design but it works fine so I'm giving 4 stars overall. Most GE appliances last a long time. They have a good track record in my home.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It’s junk. Dead after 7months. Need GE service. Not any local store crew. Never buy GE anything again
