Cooks great! Panel is difficult to read

Easy to use, cooks great. The front panel is too dim, white against the black background would have given it a 5 star rating.

It is very loud, sounds like a helicopter taking off! Also, door SLAMS shut, again very loudly. Also, when you put a cup of coffee in & set the time the night before so all you have to do the next morning to get that first cup is to hit start; it forgets there is anything in the machine. It gives you the message "Food" & requires you to open & close the door first (SLAM). Also, words & numbers on the selection panel are decals which are already starting to delaminate!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great Micro

The only reasons I did not give it 5 stars are because 1) the plug in back does not feature a FLAT or FLUSH-to-wall plug, thus it sticks out way more than it needs to. GE should have thought of this - save counter space by allowing appliances to sit closer to the wall by using a flush-head plug in. 2) the micro doors with a groove along the edge used to put fingers into to pull it open are a lot better than the push-to-open buttons. There is far less control on opening with the push-button type opener. 3) the front of my micro shows a section for "sensor cooking," but the directions don't mention it AT ALL. So we have no clue how to use that section. Otherwise, this is a powerful micro and has plenty of space inside.
