I love this microwave, as a matter of a fact this one replaces the one I bought 11 years ago, so when my old one died on me I researched until I found the same model.

Intuitive controls, quiet-running, powerful

I love the features, intuitive controls and quiet-running of GE Microwaves. I have owned 4 JES model GE Microwaves consecutively, but they do not last long. My first one, manufactured in Vietnam, lasted over ten years. My next three, made in China, have all failed within 3 years. Knowing this, I always purchase an extended warranty so that I can repurchase using the warranty. I keep buying GE's, despite their lack of longevity, because they have the features I like: an interior light that stays on when you open the door (many other brands do not!), nicely laid out control panel, express cooking buttons up to 6 minutes plus a 30 second button, easy-to-use timer, easy-to-set clock, quiet running, six sensor-cook settings for beverage, potato, popcorn, vegetable, reheat and dinner plate. The defrost setting is easy to figure out, and the end-time chime beeps with a pleasant tone three times, then gives a reminder beep if door is not opened right away. The reminder beep (not an intrusive sound at all) will beep once a minute. This microwave heats evenly and thoroughly. The only thing I don't like about this model is that the interior light is much dimmer than the previous GE model I owned 3 times (is now discontinued) but at least the light stays ON when door is open, unlike many others. I researched this purchase extensively before buying another GE because I know that they don't last. But because I like the features, layout and quietness so much, it is worth it to me for the price of an extended warranty. Don't expect this model to last, but you will love it while it does!

We purchased this microwave when our last one bit the dust. We rarely used more than the defrost on the special function buttons but we decided to give this one a full-out run. Each of the special features work better than expected. We especially enjoy the dinner plate feature. Makes left-over night a breeze and each food is thoroughly heated with no cold spots or scorched food.

Great Microwave with very little noise

I am upgrading from a Sharp 1100 W microwave after nearly 20 years. I liked the features on the Sharp better but it is a matter of getting used to the functions in this microwave. E.g., in Sharp I didn't have to state how many potatoes I am baking, whereas in this GE I would have to state how many. Compared to the Sharp, this is very quiet. Heats up food very quickly. I love it. Will update after a year.

Sleek Design, Great Color

So far we love our new GE Microwave. It's sleek, quiet, has great features and the color ( which has been hard to find thus far) matches perfectly with our other Non-GE appliances. We are very pleased.
