We want to help out with your icemaker not working. We suggest getting in touch directly with our service team. That way they can help schedule a technician to come out for diagnostics. You can do so by calling 1-800-432-2737 or by visiting this link here (https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm).
So far, so good. I wish there was a light in the freezer, and hope there is never a need for separate freezer and refrigerator controls. But it seems to cool (and freeze) very well, and the icemaker works as well.
The external sides on both sides overheat most of the time temperature of the sides is an excess of 103°F

We want to help out with the heat you are noticing. It is completely normal for the area around and between the doors to feel warm or even a little hot. The sealed system is circulating warm liquid around the front edge of the freezer and fresh food compartment to help prevent condensation on the outside of the outside of the refrigerator. If you are experiencing temperature issues inside the refrigerator, we suggest scheduling service. You can do so by calling 1-800-432-2737 or by visiting this link here (https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm).
