Disappointing

Had the fridge for a couple of months now - disappointing - ice still has funny taste and fridge and freezer doors still squeak occasionally.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Descent fridge, bad freezer!

The fridge portion works well, the freezer portion doesn't freeze things solid. I have this fridge in my garage. They said "if my garage stays 50 degrees in the winter, it'll work fine!" My garage stays between 57 and 60 degrees this winter so far, and the freezer doesn't freeze things solid?

Hard to use

This fridge holds a lot of stuff but it is awkward to get it in and out. When the bottom door swings closed, the freezer door pops open and stays open a tiny bit. Ice production is sketchy.

Bigger does not necessarily mean better

I bought this model because it was the largest capacity unit for sale and am sadly disappointed. The freezer has no light and the ice bin is smaller than my old unit. I had to remove a shelf from the fridge section just so my water jug would fit. The meat bin is smaller than my old smaller unit and cannot be moved to other side. Shelving is also not adjustable so there is a lot of wasted space.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good fridge but not what I expected from GE

The fridge came with two small dents in the edge. But, our fridge was dead so we had to take it anyway. The door squeaks like a rusty hinge every time it opens. They did not install it so that the door closes by itself. We've left it open twice now and had a to throw food away.

The leveling legs near each front corner of the refrigerator are adjustable. The leveling legs should be set so the front of the refrigerator is raised just enough that the doors close easily when opened about halfway. Turn the leveling legs clockwise to raise the refrigerator and counterclockwise to lower.

We bought this in March 2017. We have had four visits to help alleviate noise issues and a malfunctionng ice maker. GE has stood by their warranty. We're concerned about the performance of this appliance after year. Not happy with this G E refrigerator. Top shelf is poorly designed.
