My wife does not like the 'noises' and the controls in front that block items on the top shelf. The crisper drawer keeps falling out. It looks like some foam was 'stuffed' in there to prevent this. A screw in the freezer handle just broke off. Not a good piece of metal I suppose. Our 'useless' service contract does not cover this.
Temp controls? joke - only one! so if you turn it high for the freezer, you also freeze almost anything in the refrigerator part. And where is the temp control.....up front but it runs down the middle of the top shelf, making it impossible at times to slide anything taller than a butter tub or yogurt container to the other side. One place to put a tall drink pitcher ....on the door. Can't put it on the top shelf in the fridge because, if you lower the shelf to hold the pitcher or even a gallon of milk, you lose space on the second shelf. I've talked to GE about it and they don't care...no wonder they aren't selling it anymore. Now, after 40 years of GE products, I am afraid to purchase another one.
I was so glad I could change the direction the door opens on this fridge. The stainless steel on the outside of the fridge is wonderful because it's easy to clean and it looks nice.
We are very pleased with our new refrigerator we bought it at a recyclable appliance store it was in excellent condition and is very happy with it thank you for making such a great product
Poor interior design does not allow for storage of milk, juice, or large containers unless you remove a shelf, leaving only 2 shelves. No interior freezer light and the refrigerator light bulb was broke when it was delivered and it took them 6 months to replace it. Stores do not carry the bulb. The temp constantly fluctuates in both the freezer and refrigerator. So disappointed because all my appliances are GE and I love them.
