Poor interior design

Limited flexibility in adjusting interior shelf configuration. Cannot stand a bottle of wine in upright position. Also noted flaws in sealing of freezer door with moisture inside the compartment and at seal with door. Had to pay a 20% return fee, but I will be a happy camper. Have had GE kitchen products for last 30 years. This unit is poorly designed with limited shelf choices. Please look elsewhere for a better upright unit.

Poor design

I would return this refrigerator if I could. I needed one large enough to fit the space of a side by side and read that top freezer models usually have less repair.... I have had 7 refrigerators in my lifetime and this one is by far the worst design ever. The door is so close to the floor I have injured my foot on it twice. A gallon of milk only fits easily into the door shelf, not the best m place for milk. The shelves are not adjustable and the produce drawers are too narrow and deep. The dairy area has a large space that air goes into..not good for butter or margarine. You have to bend way over to see what is in the back of the shelves...and why can't they make all stainless appliances fingerprint free?? It has a very loud motor. The ice falls behind the ice container. Terrible!!! GE will have to improve if I ever buy another appliance from them

Not a Good Buy

Purchased this fridge about 4 months ago, none of this type in the show room, was told by sales person it would fit the needs we had, WRONG.
The selves on door not wide enough, cannot fit tall bottles, i.e. like a bottle of wine. The inside shelves are the same length all the way across, they are not adjustable, cannot put any tall items there either. Did not come with an egg tray, no place to put them
Overall, very disappointed in this refrigerator, it is not very functional.

No Light in freezer!!!

We just bought this top freezer unit because everything else was too deep for our small kitchen. We replaced our 15 year old fridge.
First thing we noticed was the black box! Why? And fully visible steel screws everywhere! Then we were REALLY disappointed because the freezer compartment has NO LIGHT!!! WHY??!!
We went with GE believing it was a top quality brand. The new glass top range looks great but the drawer broke the first day! At least the customer service answers calls. We wanted the full suite and decided on GE. It is only OK :(

I am disappointed that GE does not offer a stainless top freezer model that is fingerprint free. My other appliances are Profile but that series does not have a top freezer model. I hate Side by Side refrigerators, and I do not have space for French door type. I wish the dairy drawer was larger and also the shelves do not adjust to accomidate large items. I hope the temperature in the door keeps the milk cold enough as I have always been told to keep it on lower shelves for the coldest temp.

NOT VERY IMPRESSED. THE SHELVES HAVE VERY LIMITED ADJUSMENT. YOU CAN BARELY GET A 1 GALLON CONTINER TO FIT ON THE TOP SHELF.

If we has known that quality of the refrigerator was so marginal, we would never have bought it. Additionally, we realized we needed more refrigerator space than freezer space.
