If you plan on using legal paper, you have to leave the tray open which is in the way and then gets bumped and jams. Older versions had the legal paper stick out the back where it is not in the way....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This printer replaced an old warhorse printer. This one is fine. The ink doesn't seem quite as dark, but maybe it's my imagination. The manual tray is backwards, in that you have to remember to put letterhead in the opposite direction than you expect. Printer defaults to double sided printing, so your IT person will need to change that if you do not want that.

the plastic parts are fragile. This printer is not as well made as my model 4520 and I seriously doubt it will last half as long.

I think this printer will be outstanding...once it start working correctly. It is taking up to 30 seconds before a page starts to print. I may have done something wrong in the setup, I don't know. The computer I'm using is only 5 months old with a new version of MS Office.

I am happy with the performance so far. The manual paper feed seems very flimsy compared to our previous HP and doesn't hold as much paper and envelopes. There is also a small screen that sits above the machine that I am afraid will get broken. I am happy with the print quality and speed. Hopefully it holds up in the long term.
