Pro Line Series 6 Bowl Lift

After owning my first kitchenaid mixer that just turned 30 this year and although it still works, I wanted to upgrade. My daughter found the Proline Series 6 for a great price and convinced me to purchase one with her. She and I were so excited to get it home and start baking. I love making bread and she is a cupcake queen. To my surprise and absolute disappointment I realized that what we got was like buying a brand new 10-speed bike with tricycle parts. the machine attachments do not work in the Proline Series 6. So now after we paid a hefty price for the machine we now have to "PURCHASE" attachments to be able to use it. I'm very disappointed in KitchenAid. I expected better and I would like the company to fix this error. Your products are not cheap but as a consumer you expect to receive what you pay for.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Black Beauty

I am in love!! I purchased the KitchenAid Pro Line 7 Stand Mixer is Cast Iron Black. Not only is she a beauty, but she runs quiet and smooth! I can't get over how quiet she is compared to my original 1997 KitchenAid stand mixer. I know improvements have been made since then but come on, this girl is fabulous! I do a lot of baking of sourdough breads, cupcakes, cookies, and pasta and pizzas. This is a game changer for my sourdough. I have named her Black Betty! I really wanted the copper one but that color was discontinued so this was my second option and I'm not complaining at all. The cast iron look really stands out in my French cooking themed kitchen

Love it… With one exception

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine replaced my heavy duty, 5 quart mixer. This machine is great! My only complaint is that KitchenAid does not offer a lid for the bowl. It is really nice to store the machine with a lid on it so when I go to use it, I don’t have to wash the bowl first to get any dust out of it.

Wonderful Machine

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a 10 year old Pro600 (which still worked and was handed down). This machine is amazing. It is quiet and I have not felt the need to update the paddle attachment to one with the flex scraper. It whips butter nicely and has had no issues with bread kneading or grating with the attachment. I am thrilled with this mixer.

A Diamond Legacy

I was in Gimbels in Milwaukee on my 25th birthday trying to decide whether I would buy myself a KitchenAid mixture with some of my birthday money. An "older" gentleman told me he and his wife were celebrating their 40th anniversary -- they had received a KitchenAid Mixer as a Wedding gift. He said while the china had chipped and the linens were long ago worn out, they still had the mixer and used it at least once a week.
I bought a KitchenAid lift-bowl stand mixer that day -- now nearly 35 years later, that mixer has a prized place in my kitchen (I had the cabinet maker measure when we remodeled the kitchen so that I could slide it under my upper cabinet). We use it regularly and have purchased many accessories (ice cream maker, slicer, pasta maker). I have never regretted the purchase.
A little over two years ago, we purchased this model for my daughter - same great quality (and she has "borrowed" my slicer - and it works the same on her mixer as it does on mine).
I would recommend this to a friend!

disappointing replacement

I bought this about one month ago. It was intended to replace a 25 year old KitchenAid that I loved but wanted to upgrade for more capacity. I primarily make bread with mine, so I assumed the more powerful motor would work great. The mixer is extremely loud and the bowl, along with the handles, shake. The bowl is properly seated, so that isn't the problem. I've contacted customer service, so I can update my review if and when they get back to me. I can't comment on its ability to whisk or whip up a batch of cookies. It definitely didn't perform well with bread or pasta dough.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Everything I wanted

It’s wild how much easier these tasks have become and my love of baking and trying new recipes has been renewed. I am so happy to have this mixer. Plus, easy to clean and downright beautiful on my table.

Not Thrilled, paint arrived chipped.

The gorgeous cast iron finish arrived with a chip, yes its a small chip, however when spending this much money on an item it better arrive in perfect condition. These products are investments, this investment arrived damaged, not acceptable.
