The 6.9L Pro ia a great machine. It mixes the Dough very well, with ease. The only Thing i have to winch about is, it is noisy because the Bowl Lifter System is to loose. It does not need the big Cap between Lifter and Frame.

Value for money for serious work baking at home

I bought this 5 years ago, it is just the right size for 90% of the time and I have 20 Quart Hobart for the other 10% of the time.
My children bake cakes/cookies all the time for all occasions school, friends, colleagues at work etc.
No problem kneading bread up to 1.6Kgs 2xloaves or 6 x 12" pizzas every fortnight.

Research was right!

I did a LOT of research before buying this expensive model. It was all true. Firstly, Peters of Kensington (and KA) immediately replaced my brand new machine when I adjusted the beater height to max and the beater still just touched the bowl bottom. Secondly the SS bowl was nearly 2mm out of round. Next one was perfect. So to the research. I make sourdough bread, lots of it. After 2 batches of dough using the dough hook the machine is not even remotely warm. The DC motor is the key here - loads of torque makes twisting the hook seem effortless. As promised it is also MUCH quieter when compared to my big Kenwood AC machine. It does ‘click’ on rotation but per the research, having done away with the positive pressure spring in the attachment neck this is normal. As mentioned by others the flex-edge beater should come with the unit. The attachments, pasta maker and meat grinder work really well. Oh - and the colour. :) :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am absolutely loving my kitchenaid bowl lift stand mixer. I am definitely glad I went with the bigger size bowl lift style and so far it has made everything that I have used it for so much easier. I just wish I had bought it sooner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from a tilt stand mixer recently & i'm loving the extra power & large bowl size, i can mix 6 banana bread at once instead of 3. The only downside is that i find removing the beating attachment is much messier than with the tilt as you have to remove attachment bit leave It in bowl, lift bowl off & then the attachement has enough space to be removed
