Laptop can pack some great specs if you choose to in the configuration stage at a very reasonable price however the construction of the laptop feels very cheap as compared to a P50. I can only imagine this is the case so that it can keep up with its light weight specs. Would not recommend it only because I would rather spend a little more to get something with a more sturdy shell.
I received this laptop a couple of weeks ago and have used it most days. I do like it so far for a few reasons: a) The laptop isn't too heavy and is relatively thin. b) I like having a number pad. c) I like the thinkshutter feature so you can close the webcam. I ordered the regular 1080 screen and it is decent, however I'm now wondering if I should have gone with the 4k screen.
The only thing that I really don't like is that the fan is on a lot of the time. It makes me wonder if the unit is constantly running too hot which isn't great for longevity. The fan is not too loud (especially compared to other brands) but it is noticeable.
I'm still within my 30 day return period and may return the unit because of the fan issue. I'm not sure if the T580 has the same issue so I'm tempted to get that instead.
This laptop suited my professional needs perfectly. I needed a laptop with 32GB of RAM, 8th gen i7, Quadro graphics and room for dual NVMe SSDs. I wanted it to be thin and light with a sturdy build quality, and it had to have 100% Linux support. I couldn't have asked for a better fit on all fronts.
Bought this for work and even upgraded some features but the performance was lacking
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was expecting a chunky heavy machine but it’s light and fairly thin. Once windows has finished thinking about everything it’s pretty quick. I use it for home use and delighted the speakers are good and loud so I can enjoy game of thrones. I got it for learning Fusion 360 on and it purrs along nice for the tutorials I’m doing. I got the top end screen and it’s amazing. Casing is perhaps a tad flexible, saves weight I guess. This is replacing a 9year old T520 that still works but not so much for Fusion. So I’m optimistic this machine will serve me well
Great laptop so far very happy with the product and the delivery
I would recommend this to a friend!
