I love how quiet this fan is especially on the less than maximum settings. On the highest setting it is loud but I usually keep the control a the quarter to half way setting at night just to have air movement while sleeping. Being able to adjust the speeds without being limited to 3 or 4 speeds is great. I'm able to carry it as needed from my upstairs office/craft room to my first floor master bedroom. I hope to purchase another Tornado in the future so I no longer need to do this.

This fan helps me get a better nights sleep

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fan is small but powerful. I love that it is fully adjustable. I am not sure that I had ever heard of this brand before but I would definitely buy it again. My major concern is that it is extremely loud. I was unable to use at work at my desk and I was unable to use while watching television. I have found that the loudness of the fan does help me sleep better and the fan keeps my room nice and cool.

It is a great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Vornado 623DC Energy Smart Air Circulator is a nice product. It's small compact size and detachable power cord and supply make it easy to store when it is not in use. It is a light weight fan which makes it easier to move around to different rooms as it is needed. I don't think it circulate the air very well in larger rooms as it did in my small to medium sized rooms. However I did place the fan completely in my direction when in the larger room and it created a wonderful feeling breeze on me. I do like the simplicity of the speed dial and how it gives multiple choices, not just a low, medium, and high. It does claim to be a finger friendly design but I would have to disagree with that. I tested it out myself with my pinky finger and I was still able to reach the blade. But with any fan, you should always use caution when operating around a child. The only con I really had with this product was the blade removal. To clean the product you use a flat screw driver to remove the grill , which I found very easy and capable to do. The blade removing part though I had a lot of trouble with. It says to just pull the blade straight out from the shaft. I was unable to do so. But as I mentioned, the grill was easy enough to remove so cleaning the product will be no hassle. Before participating in the testing of this product I had not heard of it. Now that I have I would definitely recommend the product.

Great Fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had signed up for a promotion where they were giving these fans away for free. We use the Vornado fan in my room where my son sleeps. We have had issues with other fans having a rattle sound to it when on or a high pitched frequency but this fan is so quiet! Its perfect if you like that normal wispy sound a good quality fan makes for a soft noise in the room. Was very surprised as to how well the air circulated and cools down the room. Definitely a must buy!

Best I've ever owned!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the quietest fan I have ever had. Really the best feature is the switch. Most all fans have just Hi, Med and Lo. With the 623DC, you really have more options with speed. I would definitely purchase another and tell others about Vornado fans.

Best compact fan ever

Powerful, yet quiet enough for an office setting, and so small, I would have never thought that a fan that small.could put out so much air. I love it.

Surprisingly awesome, powerful fan. Originally purchased for white noise. It does not have any ticks or annoying vibration sounds. High speed is like a wind tunnel but the gentle movement of the dial allows you to specify the exact speed you desire. Love it.
