got it last month and I must say I am very impressed how well it is made. I have had other folio style cases and they would start to fall apart with in a week the threads unraveling but this case has surpassed them all.

I've always had otterbox covers, I had the strada cover for the S6 and loved it, but I don't know whether it is actually down to the large size of it , but the front flap let's too much rust and debris through the gaps. Maybe it's because of the edge shape, but my S6 case didn't do this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had the plastic flip cover case for my Galaxy S8 and opted for an Otterbox this time out. I really like the sturdy build and leather, and the magnetic clip is handy for keeping the cover closed and open. My only issue is that the phone doesn't detect when you close the cover and the screen stays on, unlike with my Samsung flip cover that put the screen to sleep immediately. The buttons on the side are also a bit stiff and it can be difficult to tell where the volume buttons are without turning the phone sideways to take a look.
