Not impressed by the shiny back that scratches

I've been a loyal OtterBox fan for several years. I loved the Symmetry Series case for my iPhone 6. I had 3. When I upgraded to my iPhone 7, I gave them to friends. They looked like new. I've had my new case for 2 days & it already has surface scratches on the shiny plastic. Why did you have to change the matte finish? It was perfect. I'll keep my case because it is the best protection with a slim case. Please bring back the matte finish. For what I paid, I expect a product like the previous iPhone 6 case.

Love this case for my Iphone 7, I used to use a Commuter and found it bulky.....the Symmetry is slimmer but still sturdy, my phone seems well protected...and the print is beautiful in person! It's glossy and has pretty, deep colors....very happy with my purchase.

I bought this about a month ago. It's nicer than a previous super-bulky Otterbox I had. It's more compact but seems to offer the same protection. However, after one day of using it, I must have scraped the back on something, though I can't recall what - it was nothing dramatic - and there's a gouge in the back. And after several weeks there are now several scratches and scuffs along the top and bottom. Obviously I got the case to protect my phone and it's definitely doing that, but I also expected the case to hold up better and look nice and new for longer, given the cost. It's like the color coating is very, very thin and not tough so any ding rubs it off and you see the white plastic below. I can scratch it with my fingernail. So if you're someone who is a little rough on your phone and would like your case to resist minor wear, this isn't for you. But if you just want something to protect your phone that isn't too terribly bulky, this does the job.

Not the best...

I bought this case about a month ago and really liked the design and slim fit on the case. However, the back of the case has become extremely scratched, and due to the shiny back, the scratches are very noticeable. This is very disappointing as I have not had the case nearly long enough for it to look as rough as it does. If you don't care about scratches showing on the case, then you may still like this one.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great simple beautiful case

I bought the pink flower case. The color looks fantastic, the dark navy blue looks very nice. I wasn't expecting it to be as slick as it is on the back (that's my fault) but it isn't a problem what so ever.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Scratches and Chips

I bought the navy and gold polkadot case 2 months ago when I got the 7. I had this same style for the 6. Unfortunately this one has a shiny gloss on it so it has gotten super scratched just being in my purse. Also I feel like it is always grimy with the gloss- like I need to clean it constantly. The same style in the 6 was more of a matte feeling. I would much prefer that over a gloss finish. I am currently looking for another case cause this one is super scratched and chipped. Bring back the old material.

Super cute case. Dark purple color & the dots on the back look great with the little bit of pink phone that you can see around the camera. Only problem is that the shell case scratches terribly & started to happen within days.
