Does not cool properly

Can not believe this, but I purchased this unit after reviewing the one and only other review. Well, I have the same problem!!!! Unit set for 37 degrees(which is factory set) and never seems to get below 47 degrees. Factory installer set everything for my wife and I. I can not even change the setting. Called the appliance company and they walked me thru all the steps to change, but nothing worked. They are sending a repair man this afternoon. Like the unit, but GE has a quality problem and it seems to be in the controls.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Six months, no issues

Bought this unit six months ago. It’s been fantastic from day one. The quality of the build is impeccable and everything works as it should. The ice maker is the noisiest thing, but that could be described as a whisper. My wife and I bought this because it was big, with no water dispenser, iPad, big screen tv or other useless stuff in the front door. It’s a simple fridge/freezer that works great, looks beautiful and is a huge value. Thanks GE!

We've only had this for a couple of days but everything is going great so far. We had to uninstall the doors due to our doorway is too narrow. Installation went great. Initial set-up great. Ice maker making beautiful ice. So far, we are very satisfied. Very roomy inside and the freezer.

For the big family

This fridge has an abundance of storage for the growing family. The led lighting fully illuminates the interior and is a soft start. The freezer produces a god amount of ice in a short time and has 2 led lights on the sides and a sliding drawer with deep storage. The motor is quiet and there is even has a quick cool feature and pre set temperatures to select for both fridge and freezer. By far the best value for the price IMO. Don’t overlook this one.

Space is all I need!

I ordered the Slate Color, unfortunately it will take 6-7 months to get it. I settled for the Stainless Steel and alredy have a visible scratch, hopefully it will not rust. We shall see?
