I bought this to replace the previous generation, the adjustable beard trimmer with the wheel on the back (which is the best product for beards period) and as soon as I used this trimmer I was disappointed immensely. The guard is horrible, it pulls and misses hair and the touch screen display is either extremely too sensitive or you need a hammer to make it work. Never once was I able to make it move in increments of .1 it took as long to trim my beard as it did to get the correct height selected. And lastly the battery last's long enough to get ONE time over in so you better not miss a spot. Overall horrible horrible trimmer, save the money and go with the cheaper cousin and you'll thank yourself as will your beard.

This thing is bad. Poorly designed and does not work properly. The battery will randomly go from full to completely dead in a matter of seconds if not plugged in. Do not buy this. You will regret it.

The plastic guard that is suppose to move with the depth setting does not opporate properly.

I bought this trimmer several months ago because I had a previous Remington product I was very happy with and trusted the brand. My first device had to be replaced by the retailer because the blade attachment was snapped meaning the blades weren't very secure.
I was savagely disappointed with the replacement device after carefully observing the warnings about a minimum time to leave on charge I cannot use this product without it being plugged into the mains. No matter how long I leave it on charge for subsequently as soon as I disconnect it from the charger then the battery indicator immediately falls to zero.
The touch sensitive buttons are extremely erratic and presently will not respond to anything so the device is stuck at 0.4mm setting on low speed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Just bought it, charged up and comb stopped working.

Should have read the reviews on this first. I had a much better Remington for years and lost charger. Just bought this one to replace that today. Charged it up. Tested it. Worked great. Came back later and tried it again and the motorized comb isn't working. Icon shows it is unlocked and only beeps when press extend. So you would think it would work. But NO! Even tried the Reset from instructions and no help.
Was going to take it back to store and get same thing. But after reading these reviews why bother. Even if starts working again before end of day, still going to take it back. Can't trust this product.
Also Remington. If you read this. You have another similar product out there also that is NOT 100/240 50-60Hz, it is 120 only. You should put that a little more prominent on the package. I sometimes go overseas and don't need a product that will ONLY work in the U.S.
Think going to get a Wahl.

Love this clipper ... gets closer than my older clipper ... and being able to charge it on a USB ... Cool !!! and its light .. ideal for travel that i do a lot of.. NICE JOB !!!!

I admit I was apprehensive when I saw the clipper heads, but once I figured them out, I got an even trim all over my goatee.
