So promising, but horribly flawed

I loved the features of this product: cordless/rechargeable; precision trimming control; easy to hold and use for trimming. However, the touch controls and display screen have a major fault. After maybe three uses, any time I touch the controls, the screen either freezes or goes into insane mode. At this point, the trimmer is unusable AND--since the power button no longer responds--I must wait until the charge is fully drained and the unit shuts down to do anything else. If, for example, I try to charge the unit, the battery will charge BUT the freezing/insanity on the screen will continue until I unplug the unit and let it drain the charge fully so that it shuts down. I think physical controls (rather than the electronic ones featured) would make this a great product.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Really Precise Control!

This trimmer is pretty sweet, precise length control and I don't have to worry about detachable combs breaking.
I'll probably gift a few of these out for the holidays.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Horrible Product

I am more of a review reader than a review writer but this is such a poor product that I thought I should write a review to save others time and money. I thought the concept was good, and it seemed like it was going to be a nice razor. Boy was I ever wrong. The razor would not stay charged. I would charge it up, and the battery meter would read full, but then would die after around 15 seconds of use.
The buttons, while a nice concept worked very poorly as well. When hitting the "longer" button, it went shorter and the shorter button made the razor speed up. If you are thinking about buying this razor do yourself a favor and buy something else. Like I said the concept is nice and it looks neat but Remington has some major work to do on this razor

Thing is garbage....stay away

Bought a few months ago, used a few times, thing just doesnt work good at all.... First, it doesnt hold a charge, mine dies out after 3-4 minutes of use making it basically useless. Second it is almost impossible to get it to the mm length you want, even the lightest tap on the 'touch control' button adds 3+ mm up or down. Third, speaking of the 'touch controls'... they only work 50% of the time. Most times, if the thing even turns on, I'll hit the touch control to add length or change the speed power and nothing will happen. Very aggrivating, in the process of trying to contact Remmington to return this thing... just want my money back and maybe, maybe I'll consider buying other Remington products in the future. This one however needs to be pulled from production in my opinion.

Do not waste your money!! Sooo
dissapointed about this product! Bought it for my husband as a Xmas gift and the battery life is beyond terrible! Only a week after being use, the battery died and doesn't work if it's not plug in! A BIG NO!!!

Not worth the money.

I ordered this a few weeks back and first they didn't send me all of my order. Not pleased to start. Then the trimmer says to fully charge it the first use, so I did. Days into use, the trimmer doesn't hold a charge. Just dies in the middle of a shave. Doesn't run off of outlet power so you can't leave it plugged in and use it when it is dead. Bought a WAHL for half the price and works like a charm. Simplicity and reliability i was looking for that I did NOT find with this product whatsoever.

After receiving my unit, I noticed there were three items missing: black normal comb, bag and cap for on the blades.
A manufacture fault because all the unit boxes we opened in the store missed these three items.
Pros: Nice looking, three combs for on the unit with lots of trim sizes. Looks great for head hair trimming.
Cons: I can't trim my mustache because of the bulky combs. Number 3 and 24 of the combs do not lock on the unit. It locks from number 6 on the first comb and from number 27 on the second comb. Another con is that it does not trim the beard even all over the face. Some places I have to use more pressure on my skin for it to trim even.
Overall, I am glad with this unit. Looks really nice and the price was right.
