Good motor and easy use except that the foil falls apart before one year, so needs to be replaced more often than once a year.

Cannot use it even one time

First experience after first full charge as told in manual. The product shows erratic responses when using the touch pannel, then suddenly get completely stuck, with all screen full of characters. Not even the "8 seconds" reset procedure makes product get to life. My wife bought this in Barcelona as a present and now I'm in Buenos Aires with this useless machine. How can I solve this? Please help me.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Complete failure

Used the trimmer approx. weekly for a few months while performance gradually decreased until eventually it would fail completely within a few seconds of turning on. Screen bugs out, can't adjust length, and worst of all the power button does nothing, so I have to wait till the battery dies THEN charge it to use it again, as it uses battery faster than it charges. Really unfortunate as the precise length adjustment is a really compelling feature. Device is now completely useless.

Great for traveling that it charges with standard USB charger connector. Great that the depth is *completely* adjustable. Last one died after 2 years and the adjustment was glitchy. The adjustment is still very glitchy. Overall, good, but definitely not great. No problems, like others, with battery life or charging.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Battery/charging issue.

Battery/charging issue.
During recent 4 yrs. I have changed over guaranty claim 3 products of the HC series. First two of HC 5550 had similar problem with sudden stop during trimming and complete lack of charging, like plenty of custemers on Youtube also had. I am using trimer on the daily basis so I need to bought one backup trimer!!!
Altough, mechanicaly, trimers are good/very good. Much better then electrical part of product.
Finaly, third one I have received is HC 5600 with Li ion batt., but with the same USB facilities!?

Very nice design no issues HOWEVER the instructions say Nickel-Metal Hydrid Batteries but the website say Lithium Ion ! I would not recommend to a friend until I received conformation that it is in fact a Lithium Ion Battery ! Ni-Metal-Hydrids are now obsolete ! ( To high of an internal resistance causing them to drain fast when not used ! )
