Works great with DVDs but the smart part is slow and freezes a lot. Try to watch HD Movies( Vudu,CinemaNow, ) and it freezes or goes to standard format and still charges you for HD formatted movie.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

It is good, but has deficiencies

This player is good, especially, when I first got it, but slowly it started having issue's. Biggest issues:It needs a much, much better browser with more MEMORY, MEMORY, MEMORY. Browser stalls almost immediately when trying to access sites that may be a little intensive. Also having to keep turning off player because it just stalls (not browser related). Unplug, wait ~15-20min & restart. Push buttons only once & wait, before next command. Turning off the fast boot helps a bit with these issue's. Once on absolutely fine, but getting there takes a few moments too long most of the time. Not worth the cost, unless on sale. Higher model better choice at these cost's. Great things: Love the allshare feature works like a beauty once synced up. Apps on Samsung store work. Blu-rays and DVD'S play awesome and the upconversion does work well. Player very sturdy and durable. Easy hookup and updates to firmware when needed. With this no need for other streaming adapter's via apps like Netflix. Good remote interface (usual as any remote should be). Like the save power features with the automatic shutoff, etc.. Overall the player is good now. Was awesome & great when I first go it (one year ago) for ~ 1 month. Does and has almost all the features I need except for what I mentioned above. Rating: I give it a three out of five.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, upconversion, streaming, media hub
Cons: needs more memory, bad browser, stalls frequently, little memory for browser usage
