Nice design | Poor Connectivity

Nice sleek design, and powerful fan. As I read the other reviews... then only feature that doesn't work, and is pretty useless, is the Bluetooth connectivity. It doesn't connect to my new Samsung Oven/Cooktop, nor does it connect to my phone or SmartThings app... very vague in the user guide too... pretty disappointing, b/c this would've been the icing on the cake for this appliance.

Not recirculating as advertised

The add-on to make this product a recirculating vent is no longer produced. As a result the unit will not work as intended.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Does not sync Samsung Smart range!

the description of this product is very misleading. i was sold a samsung range with this hood and assured it was the most advanced range available (nx60t8751ss. only to find out after installation that it is not compatible with this hood. a samsung chat rep even confirmed their most advanced range is not compatible with this hood because it lacks bluetooth. what a joke. the website also says to check the manual for compatibility. no such list exists in the manual.

Awesome, but....

Range hood is awesome, but I have a small kitchen. Not big enough for a cooktop and ovens. So I got the drop in convection range. Needless to say, I did not know until installing it that it was not compatible with the range when hooking up wifi. I would only refer this product with the purchase of a cooktop. Why make a product that works with one item? That in itself doesn't make sense.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Nice range hood, but doesn't connect to new range

The hood looks really nice and does a good job venting, even in recirculating mode. Only 4 stars though because it isn't compatible with my brand new Samsung NE58K9560WS induction range. It doesn't really have WiFi, it is "wifi enabled" through your Bluetooth and wifi enabled cooktop. Don't count on this feature.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great looking, high-tech, excellent quality

I purchased this hood, and also installed a new Samsung cooktop with bluetooth connectivity. By turning on any of the 5 burners on the cooktop, the high-volume hood fan starts without assistance, and remains on while the cooktop is still running. This feature set is extremely helpful, as I no longer ever forget to turn on the fan, avoiding those annoying smoke alarm events in my house.
The hood and cooktop look great, and are relatively easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this hood to replace the old hood that originally came with my house, which was very weak and loud and wouldn't suck up any smoke whenever I used my stove or oven. This new hood is so much better and it looks wonderful, almost like a new kitchen. I've been cooking a lot more since installing this hood.
I would recommend this to a friend!
