Awesome for my daughter

This toy turned out better than I ever could have expected. We were going through all my daughters bath toys and throwing out ones that she had outgrown. I told her she could pick out something new and that’s when I discovered this mermaid toy. As soon as it came my daughter wanted to open it. The packaging was a standard Barbie package. I was able to get it out pretty quickly with just a pair of scissors.
Immediately my daughter figured out how to make her tail light up. Different timing of pushing the button makes the tail do different light patterns. The lights are bright and multicolored.
That night she took her new mermaid in the bath with her. She did many trips beneath the water while lit up and I was not at all concerned with the lights not working. After taking her out of the bath my daughter continued to play with her.
Through many baths and other play times, this Barbie has continued to light up and work better than expected. I would buy time and time again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Stopped working the second day

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just purchased this doll for my little girls 4th birthday and it stopped working on the second day. I have replaced the batteries and still does not work. My daughter is not happy with this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was so excited to receive the mermaid Barbie because my daughter saw the TV commercial and asked for one. I guess I was more excited than her. The idea is great and was so exciting for a little girl. My daughter loved the light and loved playing with it in the tub. It is nicely shaped and the mix of colors are attractive. I had one issue with this particular piece I got; the hair was falling out all over the place. Over all my daughter loved it and won't stop playing with it.
Pros: Durable
Cons: hair was falling out
I would recommend this to a friend!

Disappointed...

My 5 year old was so excited to get this Barbie for Christmas that she wouldn’t get out of the bath as she having so much fun! Next bathtime and the doll no longer worked...she’s devastated as we thought this doll was to be used in the bath! Feel really let down.....

Disappointed

We bought this about 2 months ago for my daughter's birthday. She loves mermaids and was excited to play in the bath with this one. However since that time it has stopped working. I have replaced the batteries and when I put new batteries in, it lights up but the button doesn't work anymore :/

Quit working after one day

My daughter had been asking for this for Christmas and was so excited to open it on Christmas day. Unfortunately after the first time in the bathtub it quit working. I just purchased new batteries and it still doesn't work. Unfortunately in the Christmas chaos the packaging got thrown away so I'm unable to return it. Didn't even last 2 days.

Stopped working after first bath

My 7 yr old begged for this Barbie for the longest and we surprised her for her birthday on April 18th. During the first bath the Barbie stopped lighting up and she is really upset. Is there anyway to fix the Barbie and get her light up?

My 5 year old plays with the doll often. She wishes that the fin would light up with the rest of the mermaids bottom. She mentions it everyday. Other than that she enjoys everything else.
