Great Addition to My Daughter's Barbie Collection!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an adorable toy! My daughter absolutely loves it and has played with it daily since we received it. I like that this is a unique, original toy. I haven't seen anything like this before. The dog walks perfect after you turn the crank. I also like the addition of the collar activating the dog. After cranking the dog you pull the collar to make him walk. I do wish that they made Barbie walk along with the dog. That would be cool! It's still neat, but you have to pretend walk Barbie to keep up with the dog. The dog doo doo is cute, but it will get lost quickly. They're little pellets and I can't imagine a child being able to keep track of them for long. It is cute how you load the pellets into the dog and move his tail for them to fall out. The dog dish is also really cute. I think it also helps teach your child that you need to pick up after your pet. So there is some educational value. We're happy with it!

It really poops!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 6 year old daughter had a fun time playing with her new Barbie. She loved the fact that the puppy could walk but of course what caused the biggest laughs was the fact that the puppy could go potty!
The puppy has 5 very small pellets (which can be tough to keep track of) which you insert into a pouch on the side of the dog. By pressing on the tail the dog will go potty and then barbie can scoop it up!
The kids have had a great time with this Barbie my only disappointment is that their excitement for "potty patrol" does not extend to our real dog!

Fun for Barbie fan

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My three year old was really excited to receive this Barbie with the walk and potty pup. It took us a minute to realize that you have to pull on the leash to get the pup to walk. I think the fact that the Barbie doesn’t move with the pup makes it difficult to “walk” the dog for a little one but my daughter is a huge fan of Barbie and happily plays with the Barbie without the dog. The feces is teeny tiny and easy to lose so keep an eye on it if that matters to your child. Overall, it’s a fun toy.

A Great Learning Doll

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter loves dogs and when we saw this in the store she went gaga over it. Honestly though, I was hesitant to buy her something that dealt with a pooing dog but then my husband pointed out that it's a great learning tool because we have dogs and she already watches us when we clean up after them. Needless to say though once we got this Barbie and pottying pup, she would not let them out of her sight. It's been a week and my toddler has been playing with it consistently. (Which any parents can understand how rare that is!)

LOVE it!! Teaches responsibility of pet ownership

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My girls have wanted a pet for awhile now, this Barbie set teaches them the responsibility of caring for an animal. The dog has a bowel movement and Barbie cleans up the mess with her pet scooper... My girls are constantly fighting over this set they love it!! The only problem is the dog waste is so tiny I have already vacuumed up two pieces.

Great toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The toy is great because it kind of acts as a tool for potty training. Our child found it entertaining for the dog to go #2 and in turn, potty training appeared to become of fun to her.

So Much Fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 4 year old daughter absolutely loves this Barbie! She has so much fun playing with the dog and picking up after it goes "potty". She loves playing with Barbies and is a huge fan of animals, so this is the perfect combination of the two for her. This has become one of her favorite Barbie sets to play with. So much fun to play with and I recommend it for anyone who has a child that loves animals and to play with Barbies.

It's just ok...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids are 3 and 6 years old, and we received this product to test. As a parent that has to supervise and help with this toy, I have to say that the dog could use some work. The wind mechanism is hard for my 3yo to use, but the 6yo can wind it just fine. To engage the mechanism and make the dog walk, you give a little pull on the leash. The leash is made of soft rubber, and it comes unhooked from the collar pretty often. My kids aren't yanking it off on purpose, it just comes off sort of easily. They can't get it back on by themselves. The poo for the dog are impossibly small. I had to set them aside or they'd be forever lost. They are smaller than tic tacs, and there is no way to make the stay inside the dog. If the dog gets tipped over or picked up and turned upside down, the poo falls out of the saddle bag. Kind of annoying. You push the dog's tail down to make it poo, and that seems to work just fine.
So, after the novelty of a pooing toy wore off, my kids actually didn't want to make the dog poo and have Barbie clean it up. I guess cleaning up (even fake) poo doesn't appeal to them. At the end the day, they say, it's just ok. I gave it 3 stars because I don't feel like it would break very easily, so the quality is good, but the small parts will get lost unless you simply take them away and put them up.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
