I bought this a few months ago, after having a galaxy galaxy tab2 for several years . The processor, ram and screen are more in line with much higher priced business machines. the extended battery life is great, having mad several trips with more than a 12 hour travel time ,it has lasted the duration, and will go for several days of moderate evening use (reading ebooks and some internet) without charging. Video is seamless and the dolby atmos sound is impressive . I have recommended to friends as an option when looking for their next tablet. I have not rated reliability since I have not had very long, but so far no issues .
I would recommend this to a friend!

I've owned a Nexus 7 (2013) for about 3.5 years and decided I wanted something that had a bigger screen for drawing and for better Netflix/Amazon Prime for travelling. This really fit the bill. The fact that it has microsd for extra storage is great, since both Netflix and AP allow saving files to it, along with Play Music.
The battery life is straight-out incredible. On my first charge, it lasted over 4 days, with 9.5 hours of screen-on time.
The speakers are also brilliant. It does some Dolby stuff in the background, figuring out how you're holding it to optimize the sound. It sometimes is noticeable when you're shifting it around, but the sound is just amazing.
A little "feature" that isn't really a feature is the grip. The is the best tablet to hold that I've ever used - it's so comfortable due to the kickstand/speaker area being thicker. Just a great design.
The kickstand is useful and flexible - wonderfully implemented.
The only con I can think of is the performance. My phone has a SD820 and the difference is noticeable. It's not slow by any means, but just not quite as snappy as my phone. The games I've tried (Shadowgun, Xenower, Space Marshals, Eternium, Flick golf, Zen pinball, OTTTD, Kingdom Rush, Riptide GP) all work great, though gaming is not my focus.
Tip: buy a skinomi matte screen protector. It greatly reduces glare and eliminates fingerprints entirely. This makes a great tablet even better.
It has some good features like the built in stand to hang or sit. Hanger is nice to use in kitchen so can listen/watch a show while cooking and keep it out of splatter range! Has long battery life and I got a cover off another site for protection.
I'm finding the log in screen glitchy and often have to turn off and on twice to get in. Have and a couple issues charging where it didnt seem to charge at all first attempt. Need to try to troubleshoot or may have to ask about repair. Until I can figure it out I cant recommend. There is not a ton of built in memory and a large chunk seems to be used by the operating system. Was disappointed in the fact it has no dedicated pen....was told before I ordered by one chat person it did, then later when I wanted to order one was told it doesnt.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
