Stuck in Demo Mode

My JBL is stuck in demo mode and nobody says anything about how to fix it. I need help !

Here are the following steps on how to exit the demo mode for the JBL Bar 5.1:
- Remove the power cord from the BAR.
- Press and hold the VOL UP & POWER buttons at the same time.
- While you are holding these buttons, plug the power cord back into the BAR.
- Remove the power cord from the BAR.
- Press and hold the VOL UP & POWER buttons at the same time.
- While you are holding these buttons, plug the power cord back into the BAR.

Technical Issues

I bought his Nov 2021, right after box it had bluetooth connection issue (unable to use bluetooth) also the surround made noise when it was disconnected. After a phone call with customer service, they accept to replace. But it was on back order. Finally it got in stock on Jul 2022 which I sent it back and got the replacement.
The replacement unit had 2 issues, subwoofer making popping noise and surround speakers also making noise when disconnected. Another call and replacement ordered
Now I got the 3rd unit. This time it still has the subwoofer popping noise.
I am tired of opening a new claim again and after a long wait time (from the day I need to send back till I receive a replacement) and very disappointed with this unit. Not recommended

loving this soundbar! one issue i have is the provided optical cable is too short…in addition, i can’t find one that is compatible with it. every single optical cable i have purchased will not connect to the back of the soundbar…it’s almost as if the cable’s tip is too long or the actual plug in the rear isnt deep enough to accommodate a non-JBL cable…

great but bluetooth sound lags

great sound but when bluetooth is connected from my mobile...sound connect and disconnected...bluetooth sounds lags when im even 5 feet away from it....does that mean the upgrade is needed or this product is not so good with bluetooth....

Good powerful bass for movies, terrible for music. Very tinny sound with no mid range. Voices on TV shows and music is also sub par. Even just a simple manual EQ could possibly help, but unfortunately nothing except the 4 or 5 pre-set EQs :'( @JBL Please consider balancing the sound in a future update or provide a manual EQ

Not happy with the Bar

Had the 5.1 surround bar connected for just 1 day and now it will not power up and now I have to find my receipt to fill out a warranty replacement form.

Beyond Expectations!!!

After watching and reading several reviews on several soundbars, I decided to go with JBL 5.1 with the detachable surround speakers. Setup was easy, and flawless. Initial setup took about 5 minutes, with an additional 3 hours to charge the surround speakers. I was concerned that my high vaulted ceiling would be a problem. It wasn't. This soundbar is nothing short of amazing! Vocals could stand to be a tad crisper, but are very clear. Music sounds amazing. The surround speakers and subwoofer are what make this system shine. The subwoofer supplies wall rattling bass, and ability to place the surround speakers anywhere, means that you aren't confined to a single location. And the icing on the cake is the Dolby Atmos, which truly brings movies to life. This system was well worth the money!!
I would recommend this to a friend!
