Wireless speakers/woofer eventually don't connect

Bought a few years ago. Had to get replacement due to loss of connectivity to subwoofer (reconnecting/pairing procedure did not work). Replacement unit lasted a year and a half before doing the exact same. Out of warranty and only offered 20% off new system. System sounded good while it lasted, but it didn't really last due to wireless devices. Weird thing is, you can still bluetooth pair your phone to it...

We're here to help with your JBL Bar 5.1. To pair the soundbar and subwoofer, press and hold the pairing button on the back of the subwoofer until the LED turns flashing white. To enter the subwoofer pairing mode on the soundbar, press and hold the Bass button on the remote control for more than five seconds. Then, press the Volume down (-) on the remote control. The panel on the soundbar will show it is "PAIRING" once the subwoofer is ready for pairing. It will show "CONNECTED" once the subwoofer is connected. Better than expected!!

Have been shopping around for the last year or so for a sound bar that can handle a 20 x 20 great room without going over my 1000 dollar budget...came in well under and was amazed how it brought my old TV to life!!! Been a JBL customer for over 40 years and yes they still BRING IT!!!

Great for music; Awesome bass

I tested this soundbar system at home for about 2 weeks and have to say it is a pretty neat system. My favorite thing about it is the 10” subwoofer. It hits hard and is so precisely crisp it is surprising. The removable wireless surround speakers are a really cool feature also and provide a decent 5.1 sound stage. The soundbar does not produce any of the low frequencies that the sub does and vice versa. This means the sound from both is clean and crisp which is great but also is the reason I didn’t end up keeping it. To achieve the bar and sub not crossing over they completely left out the mid range frequencies. When listening to music it is not as noticeable and I actually preferred it this way because the drum and bass lines are so tight and clean. Other soundbar that crossover too much tend to get muddy but this one does not at all. However when watching tv or a movie the voices of the characters is severely lacking. Since the mid range is nonexistent voices have absolutely no depth. For me this was the deal breaker because actors with specific tones all sounded out of place and monotone. If I was going to use this for strictly music I would have kept it because of the clean precise sound it produced and the heart pounding subwoofer.

Great Sound and no wires

We're using it since a month and love it. Easy installation. After general adjustment the Sound bar is controlled by the TV-RC.

I got this system June '19 replacing my old Yamaha surround sound system. Wow, what an upgrade!
Clear sound even when there's loud backround noise in a movie.
The detachable speakers work flawlessly and fill the whole living room.

I've had mine for about a year now and I couldn't be happier. The sound bar puts out incredible sound and it pairs perfectly with the subwoofer. Until this day I haven't raised the volume on the sub to the max... The flexibility of detaching the satellite speakers and moving them around my living room wirelessly without it disconnecting is great! Same with the sub, i have it across the room from the bar next to my couch and I've never had an issue with it connecting to the bar, not to mention how it rattles my couch.
I would recommend this to a friend!
