Surprised by JBL 5.1 (detachable rear speakers)

I have used JBL speakers over 25 years and have been thrilled with them. Several years ago, when I tried a soundbar (not JBL), I was not happy at all with the idea of soundbars. Three months ago I decided to give this JBL 5.1 Soundbar (detachable rear surround speakers and subwoofer) a try. Only disappointment was insufficient manual - to connect it to a receiver that has 2 great JBL front speakers. So, we have been using it standalone, solely hooked to the TV so far and I have not been disappointed with the theatrical surround sound and its excellent subwoofer when watching movies. Playing music via Bluetooth connection from a device (phone or tablet) has been very pleasing as well. It has been great for our home theater space.

I bought this in june 2023 and love it, I love the wireless speakers they sound so crisp and clear and the bass is incredible. Love this unit, LOVE IT

Nothing is perfect.
However, I love the Bar 5.1. The detachable, rechargeable wireless speakers are stellar and when watching things like F1, really create a stellar surround sound experience. The bass hits hard and the bar is crisp and clear but doesn't make your ears bleed. A better system than Sonos for me due to price but with similar usability.

Have owned for about 3 weeks now. The surround bar and speakers sound amazing, especially the subwoofer. This system was easy to setup as well. I would recommend this package!

Bis bass, clean surround

I bought the 2.1 a while back for the bedroom and love it. I did research for a month or so and really liked the idea of the surround speakers. Set it up in the living room and it's amazing 360 sound is great for shows and movies. Next I will try the 9.1. Love JBL products.

Horrible waist of time and money

Base will not pair hours spent on it.. when u look it up it is a very common problem
