My first sound bar purchase and it does not disappoint. This thing is loud and the quality of sound is awesome. Detaching the speakers and brining them into another room is a great feature, but when placed as surround sound for a movie it really sets the mood and sounds amazing. I love JBL products and very happy that I spent the $$$ for the 5.1.
I've had this sound bar for quite some time now the only issue is the connectivity to the satellite speakers. I have them plugged into a couple samsung USB chargers and plugged into some smart plugs so I can just tell Alexa to turn the power on and off. Many times if I cycle the power the will turn on and connect to the main unit but other times the won't so I have to push the connect button but other than that they have a very high quality sound.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Only have had the sound bar a week so far but it seems to do a great job. Plenty of bass and I really like the wireless detachable rear speakers. The only issue I have is that when you blue tooth another device to the sound bar the TV picture goes away. There are time when I like to listen to music but have a ballgame on at the same time.
Knowing the reputation of JBL and the features of the Bar 5.1I was excited to purchase the product. I was very happy with the purchase but only for a short period of time. Shortly after the purchase the unit frequently stops working and I have to unplug it for a period of time. The support team told me to remove it from the surge protector and plug it directly into the wall so it gets sufficient power. First, I have never come across any electronics that were negatively impacted by a surge protector. Second, the unit is now exposed to potential surges which may cause it to fail. I'm sure I'll be told that a problem like this is not covered. Third, my LED TV and cable box are plugged into the surge protector without issue. No electronic product should that sensitive to power levels. Extremely disappointed that I spent so much money for this kind of performance.

We appreciate the feedback you've provided to us. We understand that our JBL Bar 5.1 did not meet your expectations. We're always looking for ways to improve so we'll make sure to submit your feedback to the right department.
For the price, there are way too many inconsistent l subwoofer popping and wireless speakers loose connection way to much.

We'd like to work with you directly to try some steps with the connectivity and audio issues you're having with our JBL Bar 5.1. Please note that the wireless connection between the soundbar, surround speakers, and wireless subwoofers use Bluetooth technology. It's always recommended that there be a clear line of sight between the connected devices to ensure a stable connection.
