really disappointing

I never write reviews but i agree with a couple of the one stars. The audio is surprisingly bad. It's tinny, no mid-range, very bottom heavy bass (not in a good way). I am replacing a pretty inexpensive wired home theatre because we figured it was time to move to wireless and were sprucing up our room (new furniture). I really didn't want 2.1 or 3.1 even though I concede there are some decent sets out there. I had 5.1 wired and wanted 5.1 wireless.
So disappointed. It's expensive enough that I should be happy but unfortunately there really aren't any good options which have good audio and a wireless *yet. Most people won't care - it sounds like decent PC speakers so what's the big deal. But if you expect Home Theatre quality or audio as good as the high def video you get from your new TV, nope.
It's a two-star instead of one star because it does what it supposed to do, fairly straightforwardly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Problems left and right

Love JBL, my absolute go-to for audio but I was let down with this product.
I bought these speakers in November brand new. Only has been a month and I am having problems with these speakers left and right. The sound output from the speakers sound like there is some kind of feedback/interference. Almost as if it's blown out. On top of this, whenever I switch to BT the sound-bar changes the source to aux by itself.
I did a factory reset and that solved nothing. Just poor quality from JBL.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not Good! Garbage! Waste of hard earned money.

Very muddy sound. The wireless speaker battery didn't last long, as soon as you detached it from sound bar its dead right away. Battery dead in less than 5 seconds. Good at first but didn't last.

This isn't the experience we wanted our customers to have with our products. We would also recommend trying to charge the surround speakers by using a micro-USB cable. The charging time for the surround speakers is up to 3 hours. If you need more help, please reach out to our Customer Support.

Poor sound quality, big sound.

Compared to tv speakers it ofcourse gives a lot more "power" to your sound, and especially the subwoofer, but it's not quality sound. For some scenes, build in tv speakers give more detail. However, if you don't much care for sound quality and only way big sound for your tv and powerful bass, this can be useful. Too me it is not. Sound quality is poor.

Only one drawback to an outstanding system

This was a Christmas gift to my wife and myself. It sounds "good"--better than other options out there for similar price. I LOVE the detachable surround speakers--and trust they have that patented! However, there is one issue I can't solve. There doesn't seem to be any method to adjust equalization. The remote has a control to increase/decrease the subwoofer---but otherwise, no way to adjust other than that. There are 5 pre-defined equalizations selectable ie: music/sports/standard/movie. But that's the extent of adjustment available. Nonetheless, the detachable surround speakers (completely wireless), and GENERALLY good sound reproduction would encourage me to purchase again or recommend highly.

The Best Sound Bar I have ever purchased

I bought the JBL 5.1 sound bar 2 weeks ago and have found no downside. Great woolfer also. This is plenty of sound for my Sony 75 inch TV. I would highly recommend it. I bought it directly from JBL. The price point was great and on sale. It is worth every penny I spent. I have confidence that we will have years of enjoyment.

I know and understand audio I have a high-end system to compare this with.its not as good but for the money and the simple set up I feel its a very good deal , and a snap to set up,

Perfect system

Easy to set up. ARC HDMI inputs let me plug my 4K fire stick right into the sound bar to get 5.1 surround sound. Rear speakers put out a good amount of volume. Surround without all the wires. Programmed right to my tv and fire stick sound. The subwoofer is massive and will bump more than enough base. No speaker wires running everywhere and display is there when you need it and off when you don’t. Very happy with this system, there’s nothing else like it. Shipping was fast since I live 2 hrs from JBL DC.
I would recommend this to a friend!
