great light

Have use this light for years and they have always performed gret. Only problem I have had is that after replacing the batter a few times, the dog shaking turns it off. No big problem tho, just put a new one on and good to go!!11

Disappointed with durability of Nite Ize Products

I have been meaning to write to your company for a while. I have purchased many Nite Ize products over the past couple of years. I like them because they help make my dogs visible when we are outside at night. However, I am disappointed that these collar lights do not last very long before they malfunction. Long before the batteries wear out the light will no longer stay turned on when you squeeze it. One problem I have had repeatedly is that after only a nominal number of weeks of use the light will light up only while I am squeezing it (showing that the batteries are still good) but as soon as I let go the light goes off and stays off. Another example of a problem with your lights is after a relatively short period of my dogs wearing the collar lights, probably 6-8 weeks, I will squeeze the light to turn it on, and it will be on for less than a minute, then it goes out by itself even though nothing has touched it. This is whether I made it blink or not blink when I turned it on. I have taken the lights that have done this and changed the batteries to see if it makes a difference, but it doesn't. The light will still go out in less than a minute, even with the new batteries. I wonder if you can tell me why the durability of your lights are so limited, and I would also like to know if you would replace some of these lights at no cost to me since I have purchased so many. As I said at the beginning I like the visibility the lights provide for my dogs, but I may have to look for a different product from another company because it is getting expensive to continuously replace your light products. Please let me know if you will replace the faulty lights that I have from Nite Ize. I have attached a photo of 7 of your lights that no longer function like they did when I purchased them. I have more that have malfunctioned since I took that picture, too. Thank you.

Nice features but limited battery life

I loved having it on the dog for nighttime walks daily but 20 hours is not long, especially if you forget to turn it off once or twice or take 1 hour walks as we do. I plan to try the rechargeable version to prevent regular battery changes. Lithium batteries are dangerous to keep around because of risk to pets and small kids, and need to be carefully recycled, not to mention the social costs of mining lithium. I would recommend a rechargeable version which now you make!

A must have for night hikes!

I have spot lits on every harness and collar, they are durable, bright, and the battery life is decent (plus the batteries are easy to change)! We use these for night walks around town, to backpacking multi-day trips and they have never let me down! Plus, I love all of the colors! Brilliant light

I've used Spotlits for years. They're brilliant and I can see my dogs easily when they run free in the dark. I wouldn't use anything else.

I bought our first Nite Ize dog collar light probably five or six years ago. They've been worn while the dogs swam in salt water and fresh water, left out in 100 degree weather in the sun, under snow, and lost in mud. I have had to take apart and clean them out, including flushing with fresh water when salt water got inside. They are weather resistant, but not absolutely water tight. Dry them off inside, put in a new battery, and they continued to work. Several reviews complain about the batteries. I've had no problem replacing them. It's a bit of work, but not too hard. All in all, great product.

sooo happy i found these! my dog is losing his sight :( it's been tricky finding just the right motion detecting lights that won't bother the neighbors, but will help him see his ramp to get to the yard at night. with this on his collar, spotlight out, he can see better on the ramp and everywhere he goes! & the other lights don't have to be perfect...yay! i'm so happy for him i could cry. ;) seems like good quality, so far. haven't changed out batteries yet, but i'm sure there's a video out there i can watch if i need some extra help. thanks for an awesome product, y'all. <3

I own a total of 6. 2 for my dogs and the rest for our back packs. We are an active family and are outside events/gatherings quite often. They are durable. When I first bought these I had to replace 2 of them before they made it 2 months. I purchased them only to find out after the fact that NITEIZE stands behind their products and honors their word. I don’t doubt they would have taken care of me. I have been a loyal customer for about 8 years. My family receives NITEIZE stocking stuffers from us every year and we all look forward to their innovations.
