After looking at these off and on for the last couple of years, I finally treated myself to one last month. I am approximately six feet tall and knew the top end for these was five feet eleven, but wasn't too concerned. I knew I had a slightly larger ball tucked away in a box under my desk that I could use as a backup if needed. When I first set this up in my office, I thought the ball was too small for me to sit comfortably at my desk. I felt that I was having to reach up for the keyboard and strain to look up at my monitor. So I swapped it out with the slightly larger ball I had and everything was good - for the first few days that is. After sitting properly for a week, I found myself reaching down for my keyboard and looking down at my monitor. The chair had accomplished what it was suppose to and greatly improved my posture. I swapped back to the 52cm Gaiam ball, and everything is perfect now. The Gaiam ball is of much better quality and provides greater support than the larger, cheaper ball I tried replacing it with. For anyone who has tried one of these in the past and found it uncomfortable, give it a little more time. It takes a while for your posture to improve enough that your can sit comfortably at one of these for an extended period of time. This was an excellent purchase and one I wish I had made sooner.

I've been curious about this chair for a few years and am so glad I took the plunge and purchased it. It is very simple to assemble. It is extremely comfortable and allows your body to sit in a natural way. Everyone in my office thought it looked strange but once they sat on it they were sold on it too! I'd buy a second one for home if I could stop my kids from playing with the balance ball!
Wonderful for my back, can sit on it all day with no back pain and posture is great. No more slumping at the desk. Very comfortable. Liked so much, bought more and plan on buying another in near future.

I have had it for two months now and it is my favorite. I use it in front of my computer and also use it to just relax. I am an older woman thus I have an "older" back and neck that I must treat kindly, this chair meets that need. It is so comfy..... I practice qigong and walk a lot, this chair helps to remind me to sit with my back straight and relieves any pressure on my tailbone. Thank you Gaiam.

I bought this chair a couple of weeks ago and just got to setting it up tonight. I was honestly skeptical and wondered how a chair for under 100 dollars would be for quality. It was easy to set up and was comfortable from the get go. Bought it for my home office, but will get one for my 9-5 soon! I own a business and would love to get one for each of my 3 staff as well. The back rest gives just enough support when you need to sit back for a bit. It looks too low, but it's not. It's the same height as my former office chair. Love this, hope it lasts and will get more. Great bang for the buck.
I bought this char about 4 weeks ago and have been using it since it arrived. I have liked sitting on it. It has been helping correct my poor posture! I have found that my back is a little sore at the end of the day but is getting better the longer I use the chair. I also notice that my posture when not sitting in the chair is getting better...still a long way to go. One of my biggest concerns was if I would sit tall enough to type at my desk. I'm about 5'2" on a good day and have not had problems. So I would say depending on your desk, it will work for shorter people. I like that this chair has wheels instead of just the ball because it allows me to move around my office (I have two desks in an L shape) and I feel the ball alone would have made this challenging. I do find one down side is that my tush does get a little sore if I sit for long periods of time but I have found that is a benefit that makes me get up and walk around periodically.
